Document Control Specialist
Job Description
Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Document Control Specialist.
DUTIES:
The Forms and Documents Specialist will be responsible for updating forms/documents and maintaining the forms/documents library for storage and organization of business information. This work includes managing documentation updates, and standardizing documentation tools and methods. This role will also cover the following duties:
- Evaluate compliance activities with regulatory standards, governmental regulations and associated requirements, lead changes necessary to improve compliance performance as it relates to documentation storage and retention
- Organize the routing of documents throughout the process from conceptualization, approvals, distribution to filing.
- Establish and maintain the documentation control system/log.
Forms and Documents Specialists must be skilled in word processing and database software, as well as have outstanding communication skills and attention to detail. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working as part of a team. SharePoint experience is essential particularly in library set-up, adding files, organizing, and applying metadata in bulk.
The selected candidate will be required to come to Jackson 1 to 2 days per week.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
- SharePoint experience is essential particularly in library set-up, adding files, organizing, and applying metadata in bulk.
- 2-5 years of overall relevant work experience.
- Self Starter, Detail-Oriented, Reliable and driven.
- Demonstrate ability to self-motivate and independently take the initiative to solve problems.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
