Director of Supply Chain
The Director of Supply Chain will lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for a U.S.-based manufacturing operation. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and reliable flow of materials and finished goods across production and distribution.
This leader will drive operational excellence, optimize inventory and working capital, strengthen supplier partnerships, and enhance distribution capabilities in a dynamic environment influenced by demand cycles, commodity fluctuations, and evolving product technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute supply chain strategy across demand planning, production planning, inventory, logistics, and customer fulfillment
Lead the S&OP process to align demand, supply, and production
Optimize distribution network, transportation, and warehousing to improve service and reduce cost
Drive inventory performance using lean principles (Kanban, JIT, cycle counting) while maintaining high service levels
Build strong supplier and cross-functional partnerships to improve responsiveness and performance
Enhance ERP/MRP systems, planning tools, and reporting capabilities
Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or APICS (CPIM/CSCP) preferred
15+ years of supply chain experience in manufacturing, including 5+ years in leadership
Experience in durable goods, HVAC, appliance, or metal fabrication environments preferred
Proven success improving cost, inventory, and service levels
Strong expertise in S&OP, ERP/MRP systems, forecasting, and supply chain analytics
Background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
Ability to lead change, drive cross-functional alignment, and build high-performing teams
Willingness to travel 20-25%
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
