Role Summary:
Our client is at the forefront of innovation in the manufacturing sector, offering a unique opportunity for a Global Director of Maintenance & Facilities Operations to join their team. This key leadership role is designed for a visionary and strategic thinker, deeply passionate about steering the global maintenance and facilities management to new heights of efficiency, safety, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a driving force behind the seamless operation and pristine condition of manufacturing sites worldwide, blending technical acumen with exceptional leadership to oversee all facets of maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically oversee the maintenance and operational integrity of machinery and equipment across all global sites, ensuring peak performance and adherence to the highest safety standards.
- Direct the maintenance of machinery, automation, buildings, grounds, and critical support systems (such as HVAC and compressed air) to uphold a world-class appearance and functionality of facilities.
- Innovate in the design and improvement of new equipment, with a keen focus on enhancing maintenance efficiency, operational safety, and longevity.
- Expertly manage relationships and contracts with external service providers for capital equipment implementation, custodial, snow removal, landscaping, and other essential services, ensuring consistency and quality across all locations.
- Lead global environmental safety initiatives, including efficient spill management and cleanup protocols, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain an optimal inventory of critical spare parts, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of production and facility equipment.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to maximize cost efficiencies through strategic vendor stocking, electronic ordering, and other cost-saving programs.
- Elevate the skills and capabilities of the maintenance team globally, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, and alignment with overarching company goals.
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-site maintenance management within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience with a proven track record in managing diverse and distributed teams.
- Exceptional leadership and technical skills, with a deep understanding of complex manufacturing processes, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical innovation and efficiency improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels across different cultures and regions.
