Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing a Sales Department, providing sales reports, conducting employee reviews, and training.   A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.  Long-term planning is a key focus to drive revenue and sales, along with company initiatives.  This position also handles confidential information as it pertains to the company.   

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage sales team
  • Consistently maintain monthly and annual sales quota and revenue goals
  • Strategically manage sales cycles, manage accounts, and provide pipeline sales forecasts
  • Complete annual business plan for team
  • Hold team accountable for quota & company policies 
  • Produce monthly sales reports
  • Conduct Account Manager monthly and quarterly reviews
  • Promote greater visibility of portfolio of products and services to our customers
  • Actively facilitate pre-and post-sales support to customers and prospects
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers
  • Attend customer visits with Account Managers
  • Manage strategic product lines & programs
  • Schedule & prioritize product training
  • Conduct sales training for new employees 
  • Maintain relationships with contacts and decision-makers
  • Manage Travel & Events
  • Develop relationships with channel sales resources
  • Help manage strategic OEM relationships, authorization levels and sales certifications

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years previous Enterprise Technology Sales and Managerial experience
  • 5+ years of proven Enterprise Level IT Sales Solution Strategy 
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge in VMware, server and storage architectures
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong constituency with Vendors in the IT Technology Solution space
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers and employees
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication and negotiating skills
