Job Summary

The companies core purpose is Helping People Thrive Every Day. The Dir. of IT/Infrastructure Ops leads a diverse IT team. The Director devises and implements the strategic plan related to the Firm's core infrastructure and operations, sets strategy, establishes standards and ensures compliance and accuracy for assigned technical baselines, including CLOUD architectures, server technologies, and communication technologies, as well as LANs, WANs, Internet, Intranet and wireless implementations. The Director is efficient, and coordinates support of the Firm's operations and needs (digital platforms, business systems, etc.). This role recommends and manages short and long-term projects designed to meet business requirements for infrastructure functionality, performance, availability, cost and business continuity needs while considering business direction and growth strategies. The Director designs and implements short and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements, as well as defines hardware, software and communication standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders. The Director develops proposed budgets, manages operational costs and conducts near and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base. This role establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with the Firm's department heads and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities, as well as negotiates with vendors and contractors to secure infrastructure and operations-specific products and services. The Director prepares RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.


• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a relevant field, required
• Advanced degree in Information Technology or a relevant field, preferred
• Fifteen (15) or more years of information technology experience required, including:
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in a leadership role managing and developing people
• Ten (10) or more years of hands-on experience managing or overseeing mid to large-scale information technology projects, including complex cross-functional and cross-organizational projects
• Ten (10) or more years of infrastructure or IT operational leadership/management experience, developing strategy, executing and interacting with top leaders across the organization
• Experience within a large, professional firm, preferred
• Experience managing large technology teams, IT resources and complex multi-million-dollar operating budget, preferred
• Experience in formal project management, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required
• Experience designing, architecting and administering High Availability Systems, Redhat Linux, VMWare, Apache, DHCP/DNS, Microsoft Windows Advanced Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and SAN/NAS Storage, preferred

• Functional understanding of project management principles and their application to Infrastructure projects and teams
• Capable of communicating complex, technical topics to a wide variety of audiences
• Capable of interacting with senior management, and influence decision makers
• Ability to build and lead relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
• Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Outstanding management capabilities, including the ability to build and lead a highly effective team
• Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting and cost control
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey detailed and sometimes complicated messages to varied audiences
