Job Description

Our client is a nationally recognized not-for-profit health system, offering a full continuum of health services through their health plan, medical group, and hospital group. 
 
Our client is looking for a Desktop Client Engineer.
 
100% Remote (prefer EST)
1-year contract
Equipment will be provided


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for researching, designing, installing, integrating, supporting, and optimizing a variety of technologies in the IT infrastructure and application environment
  • Designs and implements high-performing, highly available systems to meet customer functional and cost requirements defined in service level and operation level agreements
  • Participates in new project installations, system/infrastructure upgrades, and system/infrastructure performance management
  • Often leads work on new project installations, system/infrastructure upgrades, and system/infrastructure performance management
  • Participates in project leadership by documenting system scope and defining implementation procedures
  • Documents and drives best practices throughout the system
  • Solves complex problems given resource, process, and technology limitations
  • Effective and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology portfolio
  • Provides guidance and training to less experienced systems engineers.
 
 
 
Here's what you'll be doing:
 
  • Works with customer specifications and budgets to develop critical and non-critical systems as part of the Technology infrastructure
  • Takes ownership of technical risk assessment for system readiness for operational turnover
  • Conducts research on emerging technologies, standards, and system trends that align with customer requirements and Information Services (IS) architectural standards for assigned projects, support responsibilities, or strategic initiatives
  • Provides technical leadership for project planning and execution, including system architecture, design, integration, testing, and implementation
  • Leads cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and constraints and engineer technical solutions that meet business needs across multiple dimensions
  • Designs solutions that can be operationally implemented and supported within current organizational structures or define new structures
  • Accountable for project tasks, schedules, change control, and project-related status reports as a project team member
  • Coordinates work with team members to ensure successful delivery of all technical aspects of assigned projects for self and others
  • Takes ownership of operational support for assigned systems, including leading the creation of written support documentation and facilitating knowledge transfer between support teams and individuals
  • Accountable for resolution of implementation and support issues and leads collaboration with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents and problems using established IS procedures for problem and situation management
  • Leads the efforts in the creation of relevant technical and support documentation
  • Effectively communicates to Leadership status and resolution plans for complex technology issues
  • Maintains knowledge of end-user devices and integration with equipment, networking concepts such as TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server and Desktop platforms, Enterprise Directories, storage subsystems, and relational databases.
 

Job Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Client Engineering, Required
  • 5 years of experience in General Desktop Engineering (SCCM/Windows), Required
  • 5 years of experience in OS Engineering, Required
  • 5 years of experience in SCCM, Required
  • 5 years of experience in Scripting tools, Required
  • Required Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent
  • Preferred Master's Degree Or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities Full-time experience and demonstrated maturity in systems engineering (designing, implementing, and supporting system and infrastructure services), with exposure to the complete systems development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, support, and service level measurement) Required
