Job Description

Primarily a Work-From-Home Opportunity, Casual professional environment! 

Preference is for Candidates that live in Western Michigan who can do periodic on-site meetings, when needed.

Are you a self-motivated IT individual?  Our client, a leader in their space, is seeking a talented and self-motivated Database Administrator to join their IT team. The successful candidate will work closely with the current Database Administrator as they prepare for their next role; managing and optimizing Data Warehousing and Reporting/Dahsboarding solutions. This is a direct hire position in a friendly environment offering work-from-home flexibility with occasional but rare on-site visits.

Responsibilities:

*    Self-starter, Working with the Director of IT and Retail teams to identify and extrapolate Data from various sources into the Data Warehouse
*    Manage FTP transfers and Data translations to Power BI for Dashboard reporting
*    Support the current Database Administrator with continuity planning, performance changes, and interfaces to other systems
*    Help advance Reporting capabilities, including Microsoft Dynamics ERP and Power BI cloud-based applications
*    Work independently as an individual contributor, with occasional onsite visits as needed

Job Requirements

Requirements:

*    Strong experience with SQL Database Administration and Data Warehousing
*    Excellent functional knowledge of Data Warehouse management and reporting with Power BI
*    Experience working with EDI feeds and HighJump or similar Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
*    Ability to work intuitively with Retail teams and communicate technical information in layman's terms
*    Desire to work from home, with just occasional onsite visits as needed

Preferences:

*    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
*    Experience working in a relatively flat organization with a laid-back culture
*    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
*    Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics ERP and cloud-based Power BI reporting

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
