Job Description
Overview:
Are you a problem-solving dynamo and a catalyst for change? Our client in the Battle Creek area is on the hunt for an Assistant Controller who is ready to propel them to new heights. If you're excited about being part of a team that's taking our client to the next level, then this opportunity is for you. As the Assistant Plant Controller, you'll have a vital role in managing daily and monthly accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in annual and midyear budgeting processes.
* Collaborate with Plant Accounting to execute month-end and weekly closing tasks.
* Ensure compliance with annual audit requirements.
* Prepare and deliver monthly results reports to Corporate.
* Monitor weekly budget and forecast tracking.
* Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
* Reconcile monthly subledger data with the General Ledger (GL).
* Prepare monthly report data for corporate and the management team.
* Track Capital Expense budget.
* Conduct Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Perform global intercompany accounting and reconciliation.
* Maintain Fixed Assets reconciliation.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7+ years of accounting/finance experience
- 5+years of experience with general ledger accounting, period end close and financial analysis
- 5+years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Cost accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems.
