Job Description

Our manufacturing client in the Holland/Zeeland, MI area is seeking a strong Controls Engineer for direct hire.
 
This position will involve:
 
  • Programming PLC's including but not limited to Allen Bradley
  • Manipulating robots and other automated assembly equipment to streamline production
  • Troubleshooting PLCs and other automated equipment
  • Evaluate and improve machine safety conditions for plant personnel
  • Initiates and implements repairs and improvements online coverage
  • Investigate production and quality issues using problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques
  • Research, tests, and purchases parts and new equipment along with monitoring existing stock
  • Plan and design new projects regarding both in-house projects and new line startups
  • Implementation of new robotics and automated machinery

Job Requirements

 
Must have:
  • 3-5 years of controls engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field
  • PLC programming expertise
  • Experience with Cognex, Keyence or similar vision systems

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
