Our client, a manufacturing company in the Jackson, MI area, is looking for a Controller to join their team!

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
Supply all Finance Manager with cost effective data on dollars within the company.  
Recommend to Finance Manager the best practices for saving on dollars spent on a monthly basis.
Responsible for all tax liabilities of the Company.
Provide company s financial institution reports as required.
Participate in the year end audit and physical inventory.
Facilitate the maintenance of lowest possible inventory.
Provide monthly balance sheet, income statements and prepare financial statements to Finance Manager for review and analysis.
Track profit on all production parts.
Maintain daily financial responsibilities.
Submit financial statements to Finance Manager.
Establish, or recommend to management, major economic objectives and policies for company.
Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
Direct determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
Interface with other departments to meet company goals.
Provide cost justification for expenditures.
Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures, including environmental and quality standards.
Generate weekly reports to Finance Manager on goals and activities.
Commits to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality and Environmental Management systems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
