Job Description
Our client, a manufacturing company in the Holland/Zeeland area is looking for a Controller!
This is an opportunity to join a global organization and manage the accounting/finance functions for an exciting manufacturing plant.
Relocation assistance is available for out-of-area candidates
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions
- Lead a small accounting team
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
- Provide management with financial data and forecasting vital to the decision-making process.
- Manage the overall budget.
- Cost accounting
- Continuous improvement
- Internal controls and audit
- Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement and lead implementation of new processes.
- Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
- Oversee regulatory reporting.
- Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff.
Job Requirements
- Must have:
- 10+ years of accounting/finance experience
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing plant
- 2+years of leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
