Job Description
Position Summary

Process, in all aspects, any incoming request for conflict search, matter processing, or research

Responsibilities

Coordinate all changes to client and matter names to approve changes in Systems.
Collaborate with co-workers regarding search strategy.
Provide telephone coverage on a daily basis.
Provide shift coverage when needed.
Review and analyze conflict search results to determine if a conflict situation exists or if special research is required.
Communicate directly with Partner.
Ensure compliance with New Business criteria.
Prepare requests for General Counsel(s) or New Business Acceptance Committee review.
Determine research needs and process research, reviewing and analyzing for additional corporate information.
Assist in providing attention to reactivation requests.
Update and maintenance of conflicts database as needed for accuracy (i.E. Confidentiality, standard parties, etc.)
Assist in any conversion projects.
Be available for hands on assistance to users for training purposes.
Update LegalKEY regarding pending/processes.
Monitor incoming requests from shared mailbox for processing attention.
Process and analyze watch list check, PEP and other sanctions considerations.
Process and analyze matter fee structure and facilitate review and approval.
Review and interpret engagement letters for special considerations.
Review and analyze additional parties to existing matters.
Be available for special training. Be knowledgeable in industry current events.
Performs any other responsibilities that may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications
Education/Qualifications

High School Diploma required (US).

College or work experience equivalent (Manila, Paris and US).
Essential job requirements
Ability to comprehend legal terminology

Strong written and oral communications skills
Logical thought process
Strong legal analytical skills
Works well under pressure and deadlines
Work on own will little direction
Strong interpersonal skills
Maintain a high level of confidentiality on all levels including, but not limited to, Firm activity, departmental processes, firm personnel activity
Flexible for overtime needs at short notice
Computer literate (Word, Outlook, Internet)
LegalKEY knowledge preferred
Legal experience required
Conflict experience preferred.
