Job Opening: Defense Contractor Compliance Manager
Location: Rocky Point
Compensation: $70-80K/yr. Company Paid Benefits including 401K Match
Summary: Impact Business group is partnering with our client on a PERM Onsite opportunity for a Defense Contractor Compliance Manager and step into a role of paramount importance, where your expertise ensures the adherence of our client's operations to crucial legal and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with federal, state, and international defense contracting regulations, including ITAR, the Arms Export Control Act, Export Control under the Department of Commerce, and BATFE regulations.
- Manage and document licenses involving the U.S. State Department, Department of Commerce, and BATFE, ensuring compliance in brokering, exporting, and importing controlled goods and services.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits to uphold company compliance programs.
- Ethical Standards:
- Promote and maintain a culture of ethics and integrity.
- Investigate ethical concerns, providing guidance on ethical decision-making.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of export/import licensing, gifts and gratuities, ethics complaints, and audit findings.
- Report compliance issues and findings to General Counsel and Management.
- Training and Education:
- Develop and provide compliance training to employees.
- Keep the team updated on regulatory changes and compliance requirements.
- Risk Assessment:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Ethics, Compliance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience, specifically in ITAR, EAR, FCPA, and FAR/DFARS.
- Preferred experience with BATFE regulation compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of defense industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in training.
- Experience in conducting internal investigations; certification is a plus.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications in compliance (e.g., CCEP) are advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015.
