IoT Cloud Tester Description:
Identify business critical scenarios and share with scrum team
Attend all Scrum Ceremonies and identify any risks and/or issues preventing the Scrum Team from achieving the Sprint Goal
Review and provide feedback on the acceptance criteria to the Product Owner and Scrum Team
Assist in refining acceptance criteria refined (make sure all details are provided. E.G. Browsers and its versions for UI stories, Mobile app specifications as applicable, Appliance details)
Test case creation for API level testing/UI test cases as applicable
Execution of test cases using specified appliance (If applicable for all appliances, test on one appliance per category/all available appliances)
Handling the end to end Defect cycle
Plan & update the regression test suite as needed
Maintain test data, test scripts, test results
Ensure the knowledge level for testing team is up to date
Validate QA environment and provide approval for Staging deployment based on build test status
Perform sanity checks on Staging at the end of every Sprint
Define, measure and monitor testing metrics
Bring transparency to the testing status of each story by creating/sharing reports displaying metrics via RTC
Conduct Root cause analysis on missed or leaked defects
Create utility or tool, as required, to simulate and test particular scenario
Develop and automate tests for software validation
Must Have Skills
Education: BS. IS, Engineering or equivalent
Strong testing background in both web-based application and server-side testing
Hands on experience in White box testing and API testing
Develops testing strategy and user acceptance testing plan
Experience in cloud-based application testing - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Programming experience in Java, Python, Java script, Maven Spring etc.
Basic knowledge of networking Knowledge and experience of load, performance and stress testing
Knowledge of tools like Jenkins CI, Test-NG, JMeter and various open source tools
Hands-on programming on Java and data structures
Working knowledge of scalability, data structures, threading models. Domain experience with security or compliance would be an added advantage
Excellent analytical, debugging and problem solving ability
Must be detail-oriented & work under deadline pressure, have the ability to deliver on time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work independently without considerable direction and supervision. Identify, debug and clearly articulate software defects.
Proactively assess risks and help to find issues as early as possible.
Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
