Job Description

An iMPact Business Group large scale Retailing / Distribution client is seeking a Citrix Administrator to join their infrastructure support team at their Corporate HQ in Grand Rapids, MI.  This firm has physical facilities across the U.S. and seeks to hire Infrastructure support staff that are team oriented and very customer service focused.
This role requires an onsite presence during the work week in Grand Rapids, MI, with the potential for hybrid on-site/off-site work once oriented.

The Citrix Administrator will provide support which includes the implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Citrix IT infrastructure including business and production systems, physical servers, virtualization, disaster recovery, and the efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. 

This role will also be responsible for providing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and technical support for business customers, IT-related training, and troubleshooting of issues related to software, hardware, devices, servers, etc.
Here's what you'll do: 

  • Creating/managing Server / Desktop Operating System images for different Citrix environments
  • Design, implement, and Support Citrix Desktop / Server Provisioning infrastructure and orchestration / automation
  • Design, implement and support Personalization / Virtualization infrastructure
  • Manage the delivery of hundreds of applications using packaging and streaming delivery methods
  • Monitor all components of Citrix infrastructure to maintain performance and reliability
  • Managing Rollup and Hotfix deployment across the Citrix infrastructure
  • Manage the delivery of hundreds of Desktops using pooled and dedicated delivery methods
  • Provide application break-fix working with support application support teams and managing customer coordination
  • Upgrading and maintaining all the tools and infrastructure necessary to provide the above services
  • Configure, manage, and maintain print server support 
  • Provide after-hours support in the completion of maintenance and upgrades to server systems and applications, as scheduled
  • Provide after-hours support (On-Call) for Major and Critical business impact Issues
  • O365/Azure AD management such as adding and removing users, changing licenses, DL, Groups, and resetting passwords
  • Vendor Management
  • End User Support at both local and remote locations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (preferred) or equivalent education/experience
  • Minimum 1-3+ years of relevant Citrix experience
  • Hands-on experience working with Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp
  • Install, manage, and monitor Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Experience working with AppSense (Environment, Performance, and Application manager)
  • Citrix AppDNA
  • Citrix Studio
  • Microsoft App-V
  • Microsoft MDT (Deployment Toolkit)
  • Microsoft Windows PowerShell DSC (Desired State Configuration)
  • SCCM
  • Understanding of Microsoft/Azure Active Directory, DNS, DFS,
  • Print server knowledge
