Lead a team of engineers, technicians and support personnel as they develop, test, modify and create solutions for the fluid power industry and high-quality products demanded by end users.
Responsibilities
Lead a group of engineers, scientists and technicians in the United States, UK, Germany, Korea, India and China who design solenoid valves, screw-in cartridge valves, integrated manifold packages and electronic controls for the mobile and industrial fluid power industries
Provide overall technical guidance for global cross-functional engineering activities with overseas units and customers in APAC and EMEA regions
Provide product technical guidance directed at machine builders and OEMs in the agriculture, construction and industrial markets
Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures
Work with Product Management to analyze market requirements for new and current products
Collaborate on product specifications and detailed plans to accomplish goals
Be a champion to develop and execute work to improve end-to-end engineering performance throughout the company
Be an active member of the leadership team in setting strategic and tactical direction for the company

Qualifications
BSEE, Mechatronics, BSME or higher level of education
5 + years experience leading a diverse engineering group
Experience with larger OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in the agriculture, construction and industrial markets
Familiarity with M & A activities, and Post Merger Integration (PMI) of engineering groups
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Demonstrated capability in working with a business operating team in a collaborative manner to drive business results
Strong bias to coach and develop a global team
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time including international travel

Strong Familiarity
Fluid power (preferred) or automotive industry
Solenoids and hydro-mechanical valve design, on-board and embedded electronic controls.
Prior Cartridge Valve Technology experience is a big plus.
Hydraulic system design and functions
Manufacturing processes for high-pressure fluid control products
Experience in analysis lead tools FEA, CFD, DAQ and simulation
APQP new product launch process
New product durability and qualification plans
Root cause/corrective action and problem solving ability
