Job Description
Our client, a frontrunner in the precision manufacturing sector, is seeking a CMM Lab Manager to spearhead their quality assurance and control initiatives. As the CMM Lab Manager, you will be the cornerstone of maintaining the highest quality standards, ensuring meticulous precision in every product that leaves the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities:
- Lead the operation and management of the CMM lab, including scheduling, supervising technical staff, and optimizing workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures that align with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 standards, ensuring products meet stringent quality criteria.
- Master and apply CMM programming techniques using Calypso, PCDMIS, or CMM Manager to conduct detailed inspections and measurements.
- Drive continuous improvement by conducting thorough audits, identifying quality gaps, and implementing strategic corrective measures.
- Educate and mentor the lab team on best practices in quality assurance, CMM programming, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to integrate quality control measures seamlessly into production processes.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of lab equipment, upholding strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field, with a strong emphasis on precision manufacturing.
- Extensive experience in CMM programming, with proficiency in software such as Calypso, PCDMIS, or CMM Manager.
- Deep understanding of GD&T principles and their application in a precision manufacturing context.
- Solid background in managing and implementing ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 quality management systems.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in team supervision, scheduling, and performance management.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in quality.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills, capable of leading a team towards continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Preferences:
- Professional certification in Quality Management or Auditing.
- Previous leadership role in a precision manufacturing or automotive/aerospace industry environment.
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering or management field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
