Job Description
Our client is seeking a CMM Lab Manager to play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the quality standards of their manufacturing operations. This unique position blends the expertise of a Quality Manager, CMM Programmer, Supervisor, and Scheduler, making it a lynchpin for ensuring product excellence and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the lab's daily operations, including scheduling, staff supervision, and workflow management to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems compliant with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 standards.
- Design and execute CMM programming using software such as Calypso, PCDMIS, or CMM Manager to conduct precise and reliable measurements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by conducting regular audits, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing corrective actions.
- Train and mentor lab staff in quality assurance best practices, CMM programming techniques, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality control measures with broader organizational objectives.
- Manage equipment calibration, maintenance schedules, and ensure all lab activities comply with regulatory and safety standards.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Equivalent Experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in CMM programming, including proficiency in Calypso, PCDMIS, or CMM Manager.
- Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong background in auditing and implementing quality management systems (ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 17025).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising and scheduling a technical team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
Preferences:
- Certifications in Quality Management Systems or Auditing.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in automotive or aerospace sectors.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
