Job Description
Cloud Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and enhance its Windows server infrastructure and Microsoft cloud environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong experience across Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VMware, MECM, and Intune.
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for server administration, cloud infrastructure support, system performance, troubleshooting, security, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows Server environments, including patching, upgrades, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environments.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and print services.
- Support MECM/SCCM and Microsoft Intune, including PC imaging and endpoint management.
- Maintain and troubleshoot VMware, server hardware, software, PCs, printers, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify reliability, capacity, and security improvements.
- Manage application licensing for engineering and business software.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support standards.
- Automate infrastructure tasks and processes where possible.
- Provide escalation support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical server and infrastructure issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent technical experience will be considered.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS, VMware, MECM/SCCM, Intune, and TCP/IP.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet, WAN, and enterprise network technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure automation is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage technical issues and infrastructure projects with minimal supervision.
Compensation
$79,200 - $118,800 annually, depending on experience, education, location, and qualifications.
