Job Description
Join our manufacturing clients team as a Buyer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a satisfied and productive workplace. Responsibilities:
As a Buyer, you'll be instrumental in the smooth operation of our procurement processes.
Your key duties will include:
- Developing and cultivating supplier relationships for reliable supply sources.
- Conducting negotiations for long-term commitments regarding production materials and tooling.
- Executing purchases for assigned items and materials.
- Collaborating with other departments to identify and integrate new or improved sources of supply.
- Maintaining meticulous records of approved suppliers, purchase orders, APQP, and related documentation.
- Fostering positive relationships with suppliers in accordance with company policies.
- Crafting and managing contractual agreements for production material procurement.
- Spearheading productivity and cost reduction initiatives in partnership with suppliers.
- Evaluating potential suppliers for returnable packaging solutions.
- Coordinating transportation logistics and communicating pertinent information to relevant departments.
- Ensuring regular attendance and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Participating actively in departmental meetings and documenting activities as required.
- Generating and submitting cost reduction and innovation ideas.
- Performing other assigned tasks.
Job Requirements

Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Solid mathematical aptitude.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in reading automotive drawings and engineering specifications.
Educational Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
B.S. in Purchasing/Materials Management and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Note: In special circumstances, candidates without the required education but with substantial applicable manufacturing work experience may be considered.
