Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join their team. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and systems.

Preferences:
* Willingness to work in a very dirty environment in exchange for higher pay
* Experience with robotic systems and vision systems
* Familiarity with automotive quality requirements such as TS-16949
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

 The successful candidate will be required to comply with all safety policies and procedures. This position may require working different shifts and overtime as needed. Our client offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and growth opportunities within the company.

Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment and systems
* Perform preventative maintenance on all automated systems
* Develop and maintain an inventory of spare parts
* Assist with equipment installations and commissioning
* Ensure that all equipment meets safety standards
* Document all maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
* Collaborate with other departments to improve production efficiency

Job Requirements

Candidate Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in electronics or mechatronics preferred
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on automation and controls
* Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
* Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs)
* Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
