Position Overview:
This Assistant Shipping Scheduler is responsible for scheduling shipments in and out of the plant, managing the outbound shipment schedule, and processing emergency delivery requests. This role includes responsibilities for maintaining warehouse inventory, coordinating with transportation services, and cross-training with the Inventory Controller. Compliance with food safety and regulatory standards is essential.

1st shift 7a-3:30p M-F
Skills Required:
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage complex situations
- Disciplined planning and flexibility
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to work across all organization levels and within union environments if applicable
Experience Required:
- Proficiency in ensuring timely and accurate shipments to distribution centers and customers
- Experience processing emergency requests efficiently
- Familiarity with receiving raw and packing materials as well as ingredients
Experience Preferred:
- Prior experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree with 1 year of related experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience
