Assistant Plant Manager

Job Description
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the manufacturing teams, maintaining consistent achievement of production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional units including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance, working to optimize production processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze critical performance indicators (KPIs) concerning production output, quality, cost, and safety. Develop and execute action plans to address any identified areas of concern.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, implementing Lean and Six Sigma principles to facilitate operational excellence across the board.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, engineers, and production staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on professional growth.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and environmental standards within the manufacturing facility.
- Oversee the development and management of operational budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
- Participate actively in strategic planning initiatives, offering insights and recommendations to the Plant Manager and senior leadership in alignment with the company's growth objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience within the automotive manufacturing sector, showcasing a consistent rise in leadership roles.
- Thorough familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated success in leading and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make informed decisions even under pressure.
- Proven capability to drive operational enhancements, streamline processes, and achieve cost reduction targets.
- Solid grasp of safety protocols and regulatory compliance pertinent to automotive manufacturing environments.

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
