Assistant Controller

Our manufacturing client in the Muskegon, MI area is is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly booking audits and design controls to ensure financial integrity.
• Prepare and review monthly accruals, forecasts, and analyses on inventory, productivity, and variances.
• Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to enhance financial accuracy and compliance.
• Create monthly dashboards showcasing key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Analyze monthly Profit & Loss statements and provide detailed reports.
• Develop and maintain financial tools to assist area managers in tracking budgets and costs.
• Engage in ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as needed.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies to enhance financial performance.
• Embrace a continuous improvement mindset to refine financial processes.
• Prepare and present detailed financial results to management.
• Assist in the formulation and development of annual budgets.
• Foster a collaborative environment with other departments to support and achieve budgeted outcomes.
• Lead cross-functional teams on productivity-enhancing projects.
• Undertake special projects as required by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, data analysis, or financial controlling.
