Assembly Technician - Join Our Innovative Team!
Our Aerospace client in St. Petersburg, FL, a leader in flexible shaft technology for aerospace, automotive applications, and orthopedic implant extraction technology, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their growing Flex Department. With a rich history dating back to 1844, their flexible shafts are found in 95% of aircraft worldwide and support 60% of the power seat flexible shaft market in the US. What You Will Do:
  • Set up production machinery to cut flexible shafts.
  • Use small hydraulic presses to attach metal fittings to shafts.
  • Inspect products using micrometers and calipers.
Machines You Will Work With:
  • Hydraulic Press
  • Grinder
  • Abrasive Saw
  • Weld Cutter
  • Winder
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate machinery for production processes.
  • Attach metal fittings using hydraulic presses.
  • Conduct product inspections with precision tools.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in all assembly tasks.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Engineering or related field, or 2 years of relevant mechanical assembly experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient in math and computer skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours per day.
  • Ability to move, bend, stoop, and use hands.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/40 in each eye at a distance of 20 feet, with the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
