Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reconciliations for balance sheet and expense accounts to ensure accurate reporting.
- Efficiently allocate expenses across different entities and departments, supporting budget adherence and financial planning.
- Prepare bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash records and facilitate financial oversight.
- Assist in the monthly and yearly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Resolve discrepancies and accounting issues, enhancing the integrity of financial data.
- Support journal entry preparation and account analysis to ensure records reflect the true financial position.
- Maintain organized work files and documents, ensuring audit readiness and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with outside auditors and accountants, providing necessary information and support for external audits.
- Contribute to year-end tax filings and compliance, as needed, to uphold regulatory requirements.
- Process payroll accurately and timely, including the filing of quarterly Federal and State Payroll Taxes.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in general ledger software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks daily.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service orientation.
Preferences:
- Experience with internal and external audit processes.
- Knowledge of tax filing and regulatory compliance requirements.
- A proactive approach to technical accounting research and continuous improvement in financial processes.
