Job Title: Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Personal & Commercial Lines Product Management
Location: Sarasota, FL
Salary Range: $145,000 - $150,000
Summary: Our client, a leader in the insurance sector, is seeking an innovative and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Personal and Commercial Lines Product Management. This pivotal role centers on developing, maintaining, and enhancing product offerings, pricing strategies, and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creativity and practicality to ensure our products are market-relevant, competitively priced, and easy to use, thereby fostering profitable relationships and customer retention.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all filed lines of business in assigned territories.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Innovate and employ creative methods to enhance the product offerings and add value to distribution partners.
  • Conduct risk segmentation, financial analysis, and insurance pricing.
  • Develop product training materials and conduct reviews for performance improvement.
  • Engage in competitive analysis, product development, and pricing evaluation.
  • Manage complex underwriting assignments effectively.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years' recent experience in personal and commercial lines products, underwriting, and financial principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Profound negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
Preferences:
  • Experience in internet business channels, business planning, strategy, and project management.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven decision-making skills with a balance between growth, retention, and profitability.
  • Experience with catastrophe risk analysis tools.
  • Project Management training and application.
  • CPCU designation preferred.
