3D Printing Engineering Technician

Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

• Providing technical support to engineers and scientists across a range of development and testing projects.
• Developing and recommending procedures and methods to optimize technical operations and improve outcomes.
• Preparing technical reports and documentation to clearly communicate testing results, process changes, and recommendations.
• Performing technical evaluations of events or product issues to determine root cause and recommending corrective actions.
• Building additive manufacturing prototypes to support product development and innovation efforts.
• Removing support material from prototypes and ensuring proper post-processing techniques are applied.
• Maintaining additive manufacturing equipment and ensuring all machines operate efficiently and safely.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support engineering initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in engineering, technology, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with tools, machinery, or manufacturing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation with a high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software or basic design tools is a plus.
• Prior experience in a regulated industry such as medical device or aerospace is preferred.
