SEO Project Manager - Copywriter

Responsibilities/Deliverables 

• Responsible for the copy integrity of marketing communications materials and programs 
• The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Copywriter position is responsible for writing, editing and proofing product copy for Ecommerce and Marketing teams. 
• This position will collaborate strategically with Brands, Ecommerce , Marketing and Creative teams to research the features and benefits of products, write effective copy through strong keyword and market research, following SEO principles and ensure consistent brand messaging across all digital channels.
• A successful candidate for this role will bring thought leadership and ability to stay current on the latest industry trends, best practices, and search algorithm updates. 
• Must be highly organized, with the ability to prioritize workflow and handle competing or changing priorities.
• Overall the candidate must quickly learn and understand the objectives of the Brand & SEO content programs and their impact. 
• The candidate must be a highly motivated, positive, organized self-starter who can work well with a variety of tasks and adapt quickly to different business needs and projects.

Job Description

• Write original, professional and engaging SEO-friendly, customer-facing copy for websites and blogs.  
• Research, write, edit, and proofread product attributes and properties for use in product descriptions, digital marketing collaterals, digital productions, instructional materials and other as needed.  
• Collaborate with brand, agency and ecommerce team to determine messaging strategy, creative concepts, copy direction and for feedback on copywriting of branding and marketing initiatives.  
• Work with editorial teams to ensure keywords and other pertinent tagging is included in all stories.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and teams in the company
• Ability to work in deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Stay current on the latest industry trends, best practices, and search algorithm updates.
• Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize workflow  

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree Required
• Minimum of 2 years product copywriting experience, candidate will be asked to provide product writing samples during interview process and demonstrate ability to write for multiple channels and for a variety of audiences
• Candidate will be asked to demonstrate knowledge of keyword research and basic SEO principles
• Ability to take technical product information and feature-benefit copy principles, and translate them into concise, customer-friendly language
• Proficient in Google Suite
• Familiarity with basic HTML
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • 4+ Years experience writing D2C SEO content
  • Familiarity with basic HTML
  • Understanding of Content Management System (CMS) e.g. Adobe Experience Manager
