Job Description
iMPact Business Group is searching for a Project Engineer for our client in Northampton, MA for a 9-month contract opportunity. This is 100% onsite.
The ideal candidate will perform an entry-level project engineering function working closely with engineering and operations functions including supply chain management, planning, and other departments as necessary to expedite project completion and facilitate the overall operation of the project team.
• Maintain reports from various data sets, complete comparisons to identify non-compliances, communicate with Program leadership and follow up on actions to change/correct data
• Communicate with the supply chain organization on the status of bills of material, master scheduling changes, and projected delivery date needs
• Maintain task ticket tool which involves interrogating work breakdown structures, Integrated master schedules, and budget documents and pulling data into online (SharePoint online) tools.
• interface with cost account managers to ensure weekly status reports are being published
• Research data in design repositories needed to process JCA (jurisdiction classification requests)
• Create and maintain program status charts
• Track and update action item lists
• Adhere to Quality Systems Manual and applicable Standard Work Instructions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
• Project management skill fundamentals. Good organization skills, clear and professional communication
• Earned Value Management Systems Basics: fundamental understanding of Budget, Cost, Actuals, and Earned Value.
• Moderate Excel literacy: the ability to create basic formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs, etc.
• Basic MS Project experience a plus
• Prior experience with SharePoint Online and PowerBI/Tableau is a plus.
• Earned Value Management Systems Basics: fundamental understanding of Budget, Cost, Actuals, and Earned Value.

• Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems, Physics, Computer System, or Project/Management Engineering. Related technical degrees may be considered

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
