Job Description
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a lab furniture manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, as well as strong people skills. The role requires a focus on schedules, systems, processes, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently and in a timely manner
- Develop and implement systems, processes, and best practices to improve the operations of the company
- Manage schedules and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines
- Collaborate with team members to resolve any operational issues and ensure the smooth flow of work
- Manage the budget for the operations department and implement cost-saving measures
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the quality of products
- Ensure that all operations comply with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage the hiring, training, and development of the operations team
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or a related field
- Strong people skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Extensive experience in operations management, with a focus on schedules, systems, processes, and continuous improvement
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome operational challenges
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide the team to achieve results
- Experience managing budgets and cost-saving measures
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to operations
- Syteline experience is a plus but not a requirement
