Job Description

Our client, a family-owned Midwestern grocery/retailer that strives to better the lives of people in all communities is in need of a Category Specialist - Merchandising (Alcohol).
 
What You'll Be Doing
 
 * Category Specialist will be responsible and accountable to make recommendations on all Alcohol pricing each month by state based on impact on Sales, Margin, and Inventory results.
 * Have extensive knowledge of all legal compliance requirements by state (including pricing, contracts, and regulations) by state and monitor execution across the footprint.
 * Identify and resolve issues and concerns on product availability and item set up with vendors and stores.
 * Determining appropriate case pack allocations by store based on Vendor and Distributor availability.
 * Will be the point of contact to Vendors, Distributors, and all Wine Stewards, coordinating and facilitating in-store execution and events.
 * Support the buyer in the Category Management process by compiling data to deliver reportable solutions.
 * Exception Reporting for Accuracy for Item Set up on/maintenance.
 * Ensuring the Systems are accurate and aligned to the advertised pricing.
 

Job Requirements

Project Management Skills
 - Highly organized and detail-oriented with attention to detail and time management.
 - Ability to gather and interpret data for various reports, as appropriate
 - Knowledge of the retail industry; understanding of specific category product lines and core customer behavior.
 - Results-focused; uses performance targets and goals to drive own activities as well as help team succeed.
 - Office computer skills; able to learn company systems and tools.
 - Excel intermediate level
 

Contract positions

Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment. 

 

Permanent placed employees

Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
