Project Coordinator
Job Description
Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Project Coordinator.
HYBRID ROLE IN JACKSON MI WHICH AT TIMES WILL REQUIRE FIELD VISITS IN MICHIGAN. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE SUPPORT CONSTRUCTION OR FIELD UTILITY SERVICE PROJECTS.
Duties:
Provide project coordination to deliver on internal projects of various size and impact. Utilize project management tools (such as stakeholder analysis, action plans, visual management, etc.) to ensure quality and timeliness of project completion. Align internal stakeholders across business areas. Use data and other information to inform project priorities. Communicate project status, risks, and wins to all stakeholders.
- Support Project Managers with administrative and document control duties
- Manage meeting minutes with Unifier and disseminate to project stakeholders
- Participate in Gate Review Meetings providing updates and other project information
- Prepare presentations
- Assist PM and engineer with assembly of bid package
- Participate in bid evaluations, provide documentation to supply chain as requested
- Track permit status/close permits out
- Track material status
- Review invoices
- Create and transmit Construction Document Sets to construction contractor
- Schedule and perform project documentation audits and closeout meetings
- File, maintain and control all project-related documents in conformance with company standards and best practices
- Request closure of all PO's
Job Requirements
Skills:
Project coordinators must be well-organized, capable of working under pressure, and able to multitask, and attention to detail and a patient demeanor are also important. They should also be familiar with software such as ProjectWise, Microsoft Excel, and a bachelor's degree in business or communications is generally required for this position. Work is usually done in an office environment, though some travel may occasionally be required.
Education and/or Work Experience
- Project coordinators must be well-organized, capable of working under pressure, and able to multitask, and attention to detail and a patient demeanor are also important.
- They should also be familiar with software such as Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in business or communications is generally required for this position.
- Work is usually done in an office environment, though some travel may occasionally be required.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
