VP of Business Services( Project Mgmt)
Position is in Centennial, CO.
The Vice President of Business Services is responsible for the overall project management and business analysis functions; providing leadership, coordination, strategic direction, and management of all processes and functions. This position oversees a PMO team that provides the project management framework, business analysis, and overall execution of approved corporate projects. This role leads, establishes and oversees the PMO group, ensuring a predictive and efficient set of processes and tools to support the program management efforts, including the staffing & resourcing of projects, definition of business requirements, and the monitoring & reporting of key metrics. The role drives the overall demand management process via the Executive Steering Committee. In this capacity, the position ensures the strategic alignment of projects and business requirements, while providing visible reporting on project status, portfolio tracking, financial implications, and overall performance. The role is also an enabler of transformation by identifying, planning and strategically executing projects that propel the company forward at a new speed while cultivating a culture of delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities?
Direct the management, implementation, and reporting of multiple projects: develop timelines; make staffing decisions based on assessment of team member s skills and workloads, and identify potential obstacles?
Lead the identification and implementation of project management and business analysis processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to support all project teams and stakeholders to ensure high probability of successful project delivery?
Direct and guide a team of business analysts in the operational and strategic analysis of new and existing business opportunities and projects?
Prioritize, execute, and deliver projects within multiple areas of the company?
Strategically advise on projects priorities, options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on other business processes and system priorities?
Coordinate project administration, such as time tracking and key initiative reporting?
Forecast the trajectory of projects and programs to ensure that timely action is taken to keep projects on time and budget.?
Manage sponsor expectations and collaborate with them in order to acquire any necessary information and direction on their projects and deliverables.?
Responsible for developing, documenting, communicating, maintaining, and reinforcing an effective control system and policies and procedures within area of oversight?
Responsible to act in a timely manner to update policies and procedures when changes in operating conditions occur, and or breakdowns or noncompliance with laws and regulations appear?
Assign project managers and business analyst resources to projects or programs?
Provide transparent frequent updates to manage reasonable expectations of the enterprise, and to keep all stakeholders informed of the progress of all projects?
Provide training and development opportunities and serve in a mentoring role for the team?
Recruit, train, and develop an effective PMO team that collectively defines and manages the projects in the PMO portfolio.?
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience?
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) required or equivalent 5 years of experience?
A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent work experience?
Minimum of 8-10 years of combined and relevant experience in program and project management, business analysis management; including at least 2 years of experience in healthcare/ pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Experience managing M&A integration projects is preferred
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients
