Sales & Operations Planning Manager

Our client, a manufacturing company along the West Michigan Lakeshore area, is currently looking for a Sales & Operations Planning Manager to join their team.
Integrate the separate existing forecasting, order management, production planning, warehouse, supplier planning/third party purchases and transportation processes and associates of various locations into a single supply chain serving the Business Unit.
With the support of the information systems organization - define, design, and lead the implementation of tools necessary to support the newly established supply chain organization and processes as well as driving reviews of the routers, yield, true lead time, integration of the vertical supply chain (internal or external)
Define, design and implement supply chain tools necessary to support a word-class supply chain.
Build a world-class supply chain organization through identifying, coaching and mentoring talent as part of an overall succession planning effort.
Perform strategic sourcing and capacity versus requirements studies to ensure efficient and effective deployment/utilization of resources to meet demand.
In addition to tracking and communicating progress, position will establish short-term and long-term objectives for the supply-chain organization which will enable the company to meet or exceed its business objectives through world-class customer service and efficiency
Establish continuous improvement processes and culture to ensure that supply chain maintains world-class status.
Establish and manage meeting process that introduces a discipline of fact-based discussion and planning throughout the organization via a series of periodic meetings (status, updates, exception and change management) to lock down the consensus plan.
Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Minimum 8 years experience in Sales and Operations Planning (demand / capacity planning) in a manufacturing environment
