Duties: Job Summary: Under general supervision, with a high level of autonomy, uses advanced knowledge of project management and skills obtained through experience, industry knowledge and extensive input from subject matter experts to manage multiple large, high priority and complex initiatives with significant impact on business processes and technology across the organization.
Manages initiatives that may align to a specific business unit or technology platform or may cross multiple areas of the firm - from original concept through final implementation.
Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, internal delivery teams, vendors and company executives. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Performs work that is highly complex and varied in nature.

Manages all aspects of large, complex projects through their entire project lifecycle (product planning, initiation, planning, execution, closure).
Works closely with Product Owners to ensure product planning and project execution activities deliver against strategic roadmaps Responsible for defining and managing effective project and program governance and provides a proactive interface between project stakeholders and senior management teams.
Responsible for management of third party vendors and their contributions to projects Identifies, builds and manages high performing project teams.
Develops appropriate execution approach for each project.
Develops, presents and maintains project plans, including business cases, staffing requirements, detailed budgets, work breakdown structures and schedules for large, complex initiatives. Ensures proper tracking of project data and milestones.
Performs project risk assessments, including identifying and quantifying key risks, providing effective mitigation strategies and assigning contingency plans to both schedules and budgets.
Presents project plans to request funding approval from Project Governance groups at key toll gates.
Manages project change process maintaining consistent project baseline.
Manages project issues, escalating to senior management as required.
Ensures alignment of deliverables with project objectives and ensures deliverable quality.
Leads post-implementation reviews. Captures and records lessons learned.

Skills: Knowledge of:
Advanced concepts, practices, and principles of project management.
Application development methodologies and standards.
Advanced concepts of risk, issue and change management Basic principles of banking, finance, and securities industry operations.
Basic principles of procurement, contract and vendor management.

Skill in:
Project Budgeting and business case preparation and analysis.
Project initiation and planning, including work breakdown structures and forecasting.
Identifying and managing project teams.
Conducting interviews with customers and subject matter experts.
Managing large-scale technology projects throughout their life-cycle.

Applying application development and project life cycle methodologies and standards.
Constructing comprehensive and accurate project schedules using Microsoft Office Project Professional.

Ability to:
Build strong working relationships with teams, stakeholders and senior management.
Identify and lead project teams, including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating project activities.
Facilitate information gathering sessions ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are included in the project specifications.
Incorporate needs, wants and goals from different business unit perspectives into project specifications.
Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.
Assess alternatives and identify appropriate approaches to execute projects.
Solve complex problems and model the business and financial impact of proposed scenarios.

Identify project stakeholders, analyze their needs and build appropriate project interactions with them Ensure that all project activities have a focus on quality and conform to identified best practices.

Resolve complex analytical challenges, independently analyze information; and make recommendations based on analysis.

Use collaborative skills in using a team approach to accomplishing work.

Prioritize and manage multiple work efforts in a fast-paced and dynamically changing environment.

Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes.
Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources.

Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.

Bachelor s Degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing projects in multiple technologies and functions.
Minimum of five (5) years software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
Advanced concepts, practices, and principles of project management.
PMP Certification Preferred
