Sr. Project Engineer/Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Project Development:
: Define projects and break down the projects by milestones and individual tasks.
: Search and select technological resources, materials components and sub assemblies.
: Search and select suppliers in cooperation with the purchasing department.
: Visit customers, suppliers and service providers. Particularly keep a close relationship with customers.
: Utilize computer aided design tools, project management tools, MFGpro and other relevant computer software.
: Perform cost calculations and resources planning for projects.
: Cooperate closely with sales and marketing to achieve the best possible customer outcomes.
: Focus on customer satisfaction. Shortest response time. Be available for the customer.
Project Management:
: Establish and lead project teams or be a member of project teams as needed.
: Call and lead project team meetings with follow up on project time lines.
: Liaison with external/internal project members, suppliers and service providers and coordinate their tasks and results.
: Create, control and analyze project budgets and make monthly budget reports.
: Control incoming and outgoing invoices that are relevant for projects.
: Perform and/or participate in design reviews, risk assessments, quality plans, supplier assessments.
: Cooperate closely with sales and marketing to achieve the best possible customer outcomes.
: Hands-on project management with flexibility.
: Encourage team members and colleagues to use their creativity for best solutions and be pro-active.

Manufacturing Implementation:
: Conduct internal training for personnel affected by project implementation.
: Respect the individual and create a work atmosphere of partnership and trust.
: Focus on internal customer satisfaction. Shortest response time. Be available for the customer.
: Be creative in finding solutions that optimize manufacturing

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Targets for the first 12 months:
: Get an overview of all projects
: Create templates for standardized project controls
: Take over leadership of at least one big project
: Perform one internal project which will be defined by the management
: Create good relationship with customers and suppliers
: Get familiar with the industry specific standards (medical devices)
: Get familiar with the plant technologies and capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
: Bachelor' s Degree in Engineering Discipline
: 3 to 5 years' experience in high volume manufacturing environment.
: 3 - 5 years' project management experience.
: Experience creating Project Gantt' s within Microsoft Project.
: Thorough knowledge of basic Engineering skills with ability to plan, organize, control and communicate effectively is essential.
: PMP certification preferred.
