Our client, a manufacturing company along the West Michigan Lake Shore, is looking for a Program Manager to join their team. This person will be accountable for the overall program costs, scheduling, performance and customer management with the authority to make related decisions.
The responsibilities including, but are not limited to, the following:
Defines the program team, work breakdown structure, and program controls
Establishment of budgets to authorize work
Operates to ensure the execution of the program plan to meet customer requirements, specifications and quality assurance standards.
Regularly evaluates performance of assigned tasks using company standard metrics.
Defines and manages work schedules and priorities
Ensures work statements are sufficiently defined and that staffing requirements are correct.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.
Communicating with senior leadership regarding program status and technical, cost schedule or administrative issues.
Establishes, maintains and promotes good customer relationships
Ensures the coordination of work tasks and products with customers
Ensures assigned program meets financial obligations for orders, sales, profit and cash.
Coordination of internal and external program reviews and preparation of status and progress reports
Preparation of proposals in response to customer requests
Occasionally travel both domestically and internationally
Bachelor' s degree in Business Management, Finance, Quality, Engineering, Operations Management or related field required.
5+ years of experience required
Experience in contracts management, statement of work development, and Earned Value Management Systems preferred.
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification, or willingness to obtain, preferred
