Description:

The Process Engineer will support our clients area where they assemble the doors of a refrigerator prior to injecting them with foam. This position is responsible for the tools, fixtures, equipment necessary to assemble these doors.

Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable to maintain OEE of Equipment, Tools & Fixtures within the Assembly lines
Responsible for developing, updating & implementing process documents(PFMEA s, Process maps, Control plans, Reaction plans) for various equipment or processes
Optimize machine parameters to improve quality and delivery
Work with Design Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers to Analyze field problems, root cause analysis, and develop & implement robust solutions
Hands on experience working with equipment to troubleshoot & problem solve issues
Work hand in hand with other engineers to improve horizontal expansion of the various improvements
Train supervisor, team leads, and operators on equipment & tools required for general assembly of parts
Responsible and accountable for delivering Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery Improvement targets
Develop and Implement Autonomous Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and Focused Approach Projects within your technical areas.
Approve or reject engineering changes
Implement engineering changes on the floor
Lead standard, major, advanced kaizens
Develop and implement Capital and expense projects to reduce risk to the business.
Work with various levels of the organization (Advanced Manufacturing, Central Manufacturing, New Product Launch, Engineering Platform) to implement new technologies at the plant.

Must Have Skills

Bachelor' s Degree in Engineering discipline (Mechanical / Chemical / Welding / Industrial)
2-5 years experience in a large manufacturing environment
Proficient in MS Office Suite; Google Tools preferred

Preferred:

Engineer with strong mechanical interests who prefers working with their hands.
Strong background in World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
Project management skills or PMP Certification
Proven success with leading equipment / process improvement projects from inception to completion
Understanding on factory costs and good financial acumen.
Robotics experience - Programming or integration preferred
Autocad or Creo 3.0 or equivalent experience preferred
Experience using SAP preferred
