Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer for a 12 month + Contract. Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles. Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates. Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes. Evaluates a design' s overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.


Should be good executing design development cycles, especially interacting with prototype shops, suppliers, manufacturing and test lab to complete development loops. Candidate should be good in fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering and should be good at managing multiple tasks related to development cycles. Good oral and written communication skills are vital.

Work with senior engineers to understand the design o Work with in-house prototype shop and external suppliers to make parts for the design
Come up with assembly methods and assemble the parts
Work with senior engineers and test lab to come up with test procedure and work out logistics of testing with Test Lab supervisors
Monitor testing and analyze the test failures and come up with conclusions.
Mechanical Engineer with two years of experience. Should be good in fundamentals of mechanical design.
It is desirable to have experience in electrical systems such as motors and motor controllers.
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
