Marketing Communications Specialist
Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan s 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Marketing Communications Specialist.
This is an entry-level to early career position with room to grow. Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience requested.
Support change management efforts by drafting, designing and distributing communications intended to affect change readiness among key stakeholders.
Provide Executive level communication materials (Power Point, Info-Graphics & Briefing Papers)
Be innovative with messages and techniques in movement audiences through the Change Management cycle.
Perform and fully utilize analysis of key messages, audiences, timelines and available communication media when developing communication tactics.
Utilize a variety of communication tools as deemed most effective: Formal presentations, informal written documents, news articles, digital signage, videos and others.
Perform quality reviews and edits of communications material.
Create and maintain content in SharePoint sites.
Advise team on communication strategies based on desired outcomes.
Develop and maintain a consistent style in communications.
Act as the communications liaison with Corporate Communication and Change Management.
Must be excellent communicator with demonstrated writing and graphic design skills.
Ability to summarize and synthesize technical data for various audiences - Required
Graphic design (PowerPoint) - Required
AP Style writing
Website content management experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and manage assignments with tight deadlines from multiple sources
Strong presentation skills
Self-motivated and ability to work collaboratively and independently
Technical writing ability for training materials and outlines.
SharePoint knowledge and experience
Video editing Adobe Creative Suite
4 year degree in the field of marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, graphic design, or equivalent experience.
