Hardware Test Technician

The Hardware Test Technician uses control specifications, understands the lab test request requirements and makes the set-up for running the tests. The labs that are catered to are Environmental lab, EMI/EMC Lab and Connectivity test lab.
The controls vary from Electronics controls being used on Appliance controller and Human Machine Interfaces. Should have a good knowledge of Electronics and Computers fundamentals and should be adept in working in Lab environment with a variety of instrumentation.
Setting up the appliances for testing in Environmental chamber, EMI / EMC or Connectivity validation.
Participate in the Root cause analysis on failures incurred during lab tests
Develops and performs software test plans for the validation and regression of connectivity module software and platform interface implementations.
Submits Test Reports and participates in Test Plan reviews. Develops and tests set-ups and fixtures to be able to run specific tests.
Work in a team environment and manage testing deliverables to meet project deadlines for respective control.
Must Have Skills
Associate Degree or Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
1~2 years of Industrial experience preferred. Entry level is acceptable.
Understanding of Hardware and Software functionality
Ability to follow a process in logical, sequential steps
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite preferred
Experience on Labview and SW bug tracking applications would be an added advantage.
