Job Details
: Review and reconcile fixed asset additions and projects on a weekly basis for proper capitalization, classification, and in service criteria
: Review P&L accounts for misclassified fixed assets and prepare necessary journal entries
: Prepare monthly reconciliations related to fixed asset accounts
: Process asset disposals including mass disposals on store activity and year end disposals
: Review proper in service dates, asset lives, and classification for assets booked
: Assist with the monthly capital forecast process including analysis of actual project spend vs. Budget and forecast
: Assist with Fixed Asset reporting including project reporting, year-end audit schedules, annual report schedules
: Prepare the annual impairment analysis including weighted average life and net book value of leasehold improvements and calculating the future cash flow projection of each location
: Assist with the annual capital budget and long range projection of company' s capital spend and depreciation
: Assist the Tax Department with the two Fixed Asset Tax Books including quarterly/annual review and adjustments
: Assist identifying process improvements and internal controls for Fixed Assets and Projects, and updating policies and procedures
: Assist with the training of new hires and development of training material
: Cross train on other department duties
: Foster and reward a culture of (i) customer service, (ii) building effective working relationships with people outside the department, (iii) continuing process improvement, (iv) personal responsibility for the integrity of all work

: Bachelor' s degree in Accounting or Finance. 2-4 years of prior accounting experience required, fixed asset experience a plus, but not required
: Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and tax book differences related to fixed assets and depreciation is a plus.
: Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, general ledger structures, and internal controls
: Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (2007 or 2010), including advanced Excel. Oracle knowledge a plus. Must also demonstrate strong analytical and Excel pivot table skills
: Ability to produce quality materials within tight time frames and manage several projects simultaneously, sometimes with only broad guidelines
: Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
: Team player with creative problems solving approach and attention to detail
: This position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs
