Financial Reporting Specialist

Our client in the Holland/Zeeland area is looking for a Financial Reporting Specialist to join their team. This person must have experience with accounting, strong Excel skills and experience generating reports.
Identify and sustain financial metrics that drive improved performance through reporting of metric results compared to goals.
Perform financial analysis and present results including compilation and review of the financial plan, with comparisons to prior year actual results, current year actual performance, and future forecasted income and expense.
Assist the Accounting Team and FP&A team to evaluate data, analyze trends, prepare forecasts and present results pertaining to Total Company and Business Unit orders, revenue, cost of sales, gross profit and EBITDA performance.
Adopt new developments in the field of financial planning and analysis. Utilize Microsoft Business Intelligence (Power BI) and other tools in the creation, display and reproduction of charts, graphs and models.
Consult with the VP of F&A regarding identification of financial performance issues related to program/job management, operating plan, related key initiatives and performance metrics.
Work as a liaison between the FP&A Team and the Accounting Team to improve financial processes and reporting by developing automated accounting applications, and coordinating communication related to these efforts across these teams and all areas impacted by these improvements throughout the Total Company.
Carry out financial analysis at multiple complexity levels including working capital, capital investments, operational planning, cost analysis, and financial and expense performance comparisons.
Financial modeling for various ad hoc and what if scenario analysis and the overall impact to individual Business Units and the Total Company.
1-2 years of accounting and financial reporting experience
Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance preferred or an Associates with 5+ years of experience
Experience with CRM, PLM and ERP systems in a manufacturing setting desired.
Highly analytical, proven skills in problem solving and attention to detail.
Project management skills and ability to multi-task desired.
Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high sense of urgency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
