This role manages and oversees (A) New Product Introduction across the company ensuring that project selection and deployment fits with group organizational goals and capabilities (B) Engineering services in the area of R&D, production, product quality, health regulations, specifications and labeling/packaging.

To effectively manage, develop and organizes the Engineering and Project Management teams, ensuring human and capital resources are utilized and developed to optimum levels to meet company objectives, satisfy customer requirements through flawless execution of the project pipeline via a systematic process to ensure an efficient and consistent process by which new products/projects are transitioned from sales to production.


Own and drive the management of projects from design to manufacturing through an agreed NPI process.
Lead the NPI teams to bring products quickly to market and ensure that products are designed for manufacturing.
Work closely with sales team, customers, suppliers and in house stakeholders to influence design for manufacturing, assembly, mistake proofing etc while having the ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization.
Provide technical support in front of customers and internally within the organization.
Responsible for identifying, monitoring and managing project risk.
Determine facility and line layout for effective work flow for NPI.
Develop commercial assessments of key infrastructure and equipment spends for site new business with ROI analysis.
Communicates project status information to keep business stakeholders appraised of project status.
Willing to roll up your sleeves and spend time in the trenches with the troops when needed knowing when to get into the details of the business and willing to do what it takes to deliver results.

Educational and professional:
Must have demonstrated leadership, project management, engineering and NPI in the Medical Device regulated environment.
Strong analytical and engineering capabilities with attention to detail with the ability to dig deep into issues when they need to be resolved.
High level of PC skills required. (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project)
Engineering degree or equivalent with a thorough working knowledge of Engineering principles essential.

Desirable to have experience in material fabrication process and project mgmt.
Knowledge of Medical/health care FDA regulations, ISO13485 & GMP requirements.
Understanding of internal/external customer/supplier relationships.
Awareness of current Safety, Health, Environmental and Employment, legislation.
Evidence of employing negotiating and consultation skills effectively.
