Strong understanding of quality principles and tools (FMEA, 8D, PPAP, APQP, SPC, AQL, DOE, MSA)
Select, interpret and evaluate problem solving tools (Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, histograms)
Good understanding of ISO 9001, beneficial to have audit experience
Analytical problem solving skills
Statistical method background
Flexible and able to travel as needed
Good communication and organizational skills

Bachelor s degree in mechanical, industrial, engineering or corresponding experience in the automotive industry
Certified as a CQE
Previous experience as a liaison to the customer (5 years minimum)
Knowledge of customer requirements and standards
Experience in handling escalated quality customer complaints
Experience or knowledge of quality assurance and quality management systems
Training experience

Responsibilities:
Maintain good customer relationships while ensuring that customer quality requirements are being met
Investigate customer specific requirements and its application to the organization
Visit the customer in order to take care of the customers satisfaction (if needed)
Help drive permanent resolution of production quality issues.
Assist in the planning, organizing and monitoring the effectiveness of quality training (if needed)
Train the organization in regard to QM tools and customer expectations
