Controls Tech - 3rd Shift

Position: Controls Tech Department: Maintenance Location: Lansing
Plans and executes activities related to manufacturing support, equipment troubleshooting and
: Troubleshoots ladder logic code and other configurable automated control systems (Robots, HMI, drives,
laser scanners, etc.).
: Perform necessary repairs to damaged equipment (to the component level if needed).
: Provides direct support to production department.
: Provides support to other departments and team members as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
: Prepares work schedules with interim end target estimates for all projects within his/her responsibility.
: Searches out and implements new technologies and Continuous Improvement opportunities.
: Propose plans and ideas for cost reductions and/or quality improvement measures.
: Maintain proper filing system to ensure all information is properly stored and easily retrieved.
: Follows and enforces the guidelines and rules as defined in the Employee Handbook and Company
: Carries out assigned responsibilities under TS16949 and ISO 14001.
: Any other reasonable request made by management.
: Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational
Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize,
standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.
Work Experience (provide details and minimum # of years required)
: 3-5 Years' Experience preferred
Skills (language, technical, computer etc.)
: Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
: Organized and self-motivated professional.
: Must be able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English.
: Must be able to relate / communicate well with people at all levels.
: Blueprint Reading (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic), Basic Measuring Techniques.
: Proficient with Allen Bradley control platforms and Robotics (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic, Nachi).
: Post-secondary school education, preferably in Electronics or Electricity, Industrial or related on the job experience with specific discipline in controls.
