Our client, a manufacturing company in the Spring Lake area is looking for a CMM Programmer to join their team.

Main responsibilities will include:

Program and run CMM to test and inspect products at various stages of APQP and production process according to customer requirements.
Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Develops and maintains core documents (Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, Initial FPI) and prepares PPAP submissions.
Maintains TS16949 compliant calibration system.
Performs Measurement Systems Analysis as required per ISO/TS 16949
Performs all last piece checks, tags and stores last pieces, completes last piece paperwork, and takes care of gages at the end of each run for all manufacturing processes.
Write CMM programs for parts and/or check fixtures using CAD data or drawings.
Identify issues on drawings that are not feasible as written.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality
Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process and finished goods; tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensional, performance, and physical characteristics.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures as required. Evaluates data and prepares reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Develops core documents (Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan and First Piece Inspection Check Sheet) for PPAP submissions
Prepares PPAP submissions
May instruct production personnel in inspection procedures, gages, and documentation
Coordinates activities of Quality Technicians when the Quality Manager is unavailable
Performs in-house calibrations of calipers, micrometers, depth gages, indicators, height gages, linear gages, and pin gages (including sets); schedules calibration of other gages to be outsourced and maintains.
Maintains calibration records as required by the Quality Management System
Manages locations of check fixtures and ensures they are clean and in good repair when issued and returned cleans and repairs as necessary.
Performs Layered Process/Product audits per schedule
Identifies improvement opportunities and leads or participates in continuous improvement efforts.
Is familiar with the requirements of the Quality Management System and knows where applicable work instructions related to this position are located and can follow them.
Cross train with other quality positions and cover additional responsibilities in times of need.

Must Have:

Associate s degree in related field and/or 3 year s Quality Assurance experience.
Strong mathematics skills in algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
Proficient in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, programming, and operation of a CMM
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the use of micrometers, height gages, calipers, dial indicators, electronic data input devices, optical comparator and hardness testers.
Working knowledge of gage calibration techniques and methodology
Understanding of statistical process control
High level of problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong ability to manage time and priorities
Willingness to learn and apply new skills as necessary to meet customer requirements and changing technology
