Business Relationship Manager
Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan s 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Business Relationship Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
Identify and establish future business needs and translate these into technology projects
Understand current technology landscape and its ability to support strategic business objectives
Analyze the business operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses; determine opportunities to automate processes and functions to bring solutions to the business partner to enhance the enterprise s competitive edge
Possess an understanding of technological trends and collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to understand how future IT trends can address business needs, and how to best leverage the technologies for maximum positive business impact
Facilitate development of business drivers, business cases, costs, benefits, and high-level implementation plans
Analyze and determine operational and financial impact of new product and service offerings
Partner with business leaders and IT to build out RFI/RFP requirements and scope
Align with business partners in Corporate Services specifically Finance and Information Technology to gain business insights
Participate in review of contracts and statements of work
The Business Technology Partner is responsible for delivering results such as:
Facilitating the development of business cases and high-level implementation plans that help business areas meet their strategic objectives, recommending appropriate technology solutions to maximize positive business impact.
Building strong, authentic relationships within the business areas that drive improvements in IT Functional effectiveness and overall business partner satisfaction and give IT a voice in strategic planning efforts.
Leadership of efforts in support of initiating technology implementations including process standardization, identifying high-level business requirements, organizational change management, etc.
Help drive creation and updating of capability maturity models and 3-5 year technology roadmaps for Finance and IT
6-10 years of previous IT business relationship required, with at least 5 years experience in IT, business analysis, process analysis and/or consulting.
Proven track record of delivering business results and building effective partnerships with business leaders.

.Bachelor s degree required, preferably in Information Technology, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
