Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

The Advanced Operations Business Analyst will work with both the Business Intelligence Office & Enterprise Systems team to support development, deployment and improvement of PPM tools, reporting systems and program management to meet evolving business needs, aligning with our client and their organizational strategy. You will be a key team member in maintaining project management competency frameworks and implementing project management best practice and governance. Supports database of enterprise-wide project portfolio information. Develops and implements solutions primarily using advanced functionality within Microsoft products (such as SharePoint, Excel, Project, Microsoft SSRS and Microsoft PowerBI). Provides training as necessary. Prepares reports, subscriptions and presentations.

Essential Duties & Responsibility:

Assist the Enterprise Systems team with development, testing and data integrity activities
Perform regular system maintenance activities to ensure the highest data integrity and security of our systems
Input data on a re-occurring basis to support manual processes and support initial system migrations
Assist with management of our automated report subscriptions and system users
Assist with ONE PPM support requests when applicable
Compile PowerPoints and assist in preparation for business reviews
Create project team collaboration sites and setup access
Implementation of project management governance framework across the global SGS AO organization
Maintain Project Management competency framework, training database & scheduling of training events
Monitoring and data analysis of Design Transfer metrics at project, program & portfolio level to drive business improvements
Assist the BI Office & Enterprise Systems team with the implementation of PPM tools
Provide program management support to our remotely located teams
Assist with running of Portfolio Communications
Liaise with other functional departments to influence efficient & robust projects
Create project management guideline & instruction documents to support PPM tools, best practice & standardization

Education/Special Training Required:

Minimum of Associate degree/diploma in Science, Engineering or Business/Business Information Systems
PMP Certification preferred
Experience in medical device manufacturing environment a plus
1+ years of practical experience in project management & PPM tools/reporting systems
Medical device experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Expertise in the use of Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project, Critical Chain theory, Theory of Constraints.
Advanced with Microsoft SharePoint and reporting/data analytics tools such as SSRS or PowerBI is required
Expertise with stage gate product development processes or equivalent process management.
Good communication skills & attention to detail
Good technical writing skills
Effectively and efficiently execute tasks
Basic programming knowledge preferred
